Preventive medical examination
Your body is exposed daily to various influences, such as stress, processed food, being overweight, insufficient sleep, medication use, alcohol, and environmental factors. These factors can affect various processes in the body, including metabolism, hormone balance, immunity, and organ function.
Changes in these processes can sometimes manifest at an early stage in measurable values, such as cholesterol, blood sugar, vitamin and mineral levels, or liver and kidney values. Abnormal values do not necessarily lead to symptoms immediately, but they can be a reason to take a closer look at lifestyle or dietary patterns.
Comprehensive blood and stool tests can provide insight into various aspects of your health, such as nutritional status, inflammatory activity, digestion, and organ function. By periodically mapping this information, a broader and more accurate picture of your body and potential areas for improvement emerges.
Preventive screening can support making targeted choices regarding lifestyle and nutrition, with the aim of maintaining the best possible health in the long term.
Lifestyle analysis
Completing the lifestyle analysis allows us to better place your research results in context. Information regarding nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress, and medication, among other things, helps to form a more complete picture of your health.
Based on this, we can conduct a more personalized health analysis and provide advice that better suits your situation. Therefore, we ask you to complete the lifestyle analysis prior to the consultation.
Customized health advice
Upon receipt of your results, our health advisors analyze the findings and discuss them with you by phone. During this conversation, they explain what the results might mean and how they relate to your personal situation. This provides you with clear insight into various aspects of your health.
Based on your results and lifestyle analysis, you will receive personalized advice focused on nutrition and lifestyle and, where appropriate, possible support with nutritional supplements. The goal is to enable informed and targeted choices tailored to your needs.
When you start implementing the advice, it can be valuable to measure again after a few months to a year. Comparing results over time provides insight into possible changes in your health values and the effects of lifestyle adjustments.
With this method, we focus on promoting a healthy lifestyle in the long term. Based on more than 250.000 consultations since 2009, we have built up extensive experience with this preventive approach.
Frequently asked questions
A great deal of information about your health can be obtained from blood tests. With the Blood Health Check, 31 standard blood values are examined, with the option to expand the test with additional determinations. These values can provide insight into various aspects of your health, such as metabolism, nutritional status, organ function, and certain risk factors.
Changes in blood values can sometimes be visible even before symptoms appear. By having these values measured periodically, insights can be gained into potential areas of concern and how they relate to lifestyle and diet. The broader the examination, the more complete the picture of your health can be.
Based on the results, you can make targeted choices regarding lifestyle and nutrition, where desired. A repeat measurement after a few months to a year can help provide insight into changes in your blood values and monitor the effects of any adjustments.
If the research reveals values that fall outside the reference range, you can download the report and discuss it with a doctor if desired. Preventive insight can contribute to a better understanding of your health and provide support in making informed choices.
The Gut Health Check provides insight into various aspects of your gut health. Using stool analysis, the composition of the gut flora, digestion, and certain markers associated with intestinal inflammation can be mapped, among other things. This can help you better understand how your intestines function and where potential areas of concern lie.
When you experience bowel complaints, a stool test can provide additional information about possible related factors. Even without symptoms, it can be valuable to gain more insight into your gut health, as the intestines play an important role in the digestion of food, the absorption of nutrients, and various bodily processes.
Features of the Gut Health Check

- Can help explore possible causes of bowel complaints
- The intestines play an important role in digestion and immunity, among other things.

Your body is exposed to various forms of strain daily, such as stress, processed food, high work pressure, lack of sleep, and environmental influences. These factors can affect processes within the body, including your immune system, energy levels, and metabolism. However, changes in your body do not always result in immediately noticeable symptoms.
A great deal of health information can be derived from your blood, while your gut also plays an important role in, among other things, your immune system, digestion, and nutrient absorption. By combining blood and stool tests, a broader and more accurate picture of your health emerges.
After completing the Premium Health Check, you can discuss the results with our health advisors, who will provide you with a clear analysis and personalized advice tailored to your situation. By gaining insight into what is happening in your body, you can make more targeted choices regarding nutrition and lifestyle.
To measure is to know, and prevention is better than cure.
The Microbiome Health Check provides insight into the composition and balance of bacteria in your gut. Using 16S rRNA sequencing, it maps which bacterial species are present and how they relate to each other.
Your gut plays an important role in digestion, nutrient absorption, and the functioning of the immune system, among other things. The composition of the microbiome can be linked to various aspects of your health, such as energy, resistance, and general vitality. Understanding your gut flora can therefore help you better understand where potential areas for improvement lie.
Based on the results, you will receive practical advice focused on nutrition and lifestyle, tailored to your personal situation. The Microbiome Health Check can help you make more conscious choices that contribute to supporting your gut health.
The turnaround time for the results varies per test and starts from the moment the material is received by the laboratory:
- Blood Health Check: usually within 5 working days
- Gut Health Check: approximately 10 working days
- Microbiome Health Check: average 4 weeks
- DNA Health Check: approximately 4 to 6 weeks
The exact turnaround time may vary in some cases, for example due to workload in the laboratory or additional analyses. You will be notified as soon as your results are available.
The consultation to discuss your results is included free of charge. For many preventive examinations, extra costs are charged for an explanation or personal advice, but with us, this is a standard part of the service.
During the consultation, a health advisor will review your results with you and explain what the outcomes might mean for your personal situation. Where possible, you will receive practical guidance regarding lifestyle and nutrition. Naturally, there is also an opportunity to ask questions, so that you get a clear and complete picture of your results.
Of course, you can discuss your results with a doctor, for example with your own GP.
Gut, DNA, and microbiome research
The results of these tests are posted in your own account (My Perfect Lab). Here you can view and download the results so that you can take them to your GP or other healthcare provider.

You will receive the results of blood tests by email after you have given your consent. You can easily share these results with your GP.
Would you prefer to discuss your results with the Perfect Lab advisory team first? Please feel free to contact us. This consultation is free of charge and is part of our service and aftercare. If necessary, we advise you to also discuss your results with your GP.
In some cases, supplementary health insurance may reimburse (part of) a Health Check, for example from a prevention budget. The conditions and reimbursements vary by insurer and policy.
We advise you to contact your health insurer in advance to check whether your examination qualifies for (partial) reimbursement. That way, you know exactly where you stand.
